PREEN Pre-Fall 2013
Love the color, and love the details.
Aren’t these mini christmas trees the cutest? If only I was mini, then I could lie under them and look up into the sparkly sky of branches and leaves..
It’s reflection time.
It’s the (sort of) end of December, and I have successfully completed my first semester as a Fashion Design major at Parsons. Wow, I cannot believe I am still alive at this point. It was so intense, and I had no life (haha…), but I’m so thankful for everything because I can somewhat make clothes now!! Well, I’m getting there. It really is amazing how much you can learn in 15 weeks. I learned pattern-making, sewing, drawing skills, fabrics, and most importantly, if you don’t work on the weekends, you’re screwed. Haha. It was not easy, but when you have amazingly-talented friends by your side, suffering with you, it’s not so bad. Also, surprisingly, it’s kinda fun taking the subway every morning to class…and walking up those stairs was my daily workout..enough for me! (I really should start exercising..) Anyways, I’ve completed my first semester, and despite being crazy, I still love fashion design. I love Parsons too, even though it tried to kill me with finals. And, I love my friends, who support me and help me out when I have no idea what the teacher is talking about! Cheers to that. ~Happy Holidays~
This spread in VOGUE JAPAN Oct is simply gorgeous. The most inspiring thing I’ve seen in a while.
Snacking away (healthily!) and watching Sandy through my window..
Having a twin is the best thing ever. I want to dedicate a post to my beautiful, intelligent, amazing, thoughtful, determined, and purely wonderful twin sister. She knows exactly how to turn my sadness into smiles. She understands me completely and loves me, but not as much as I love her! I would not be who I am without her, and I couldn’t be any more thankful for having such an amazing person to share my life with!
The High Line might just be my favorite place in NYC. I went for a lovely walk on a sunny afternoon to clear my mind from all of the constant work. I had forgotten how important it is to take a break for yourself and just r e l a x. Always remember to breath!(:
…is a word that describes a plethora of things. Fashion is a mask that allows us to hide, blend in, stand out, create ourselves. It is also an extension of the body, in that it is a powerful and beautiful form of self-expression. It is art that is functional, wearable, and personal, to each and every individual. To be the creator of all these things that make Fashion, and to do it uniquely and beautifully, is my dream. The simple concept of sketching a design on paper, and seeing it become a reality, is fascinating to me. The possibilities are endless as a designer. I want to create stunning designs, intelligently. I want to design worlds, personalities, characters, a lifestyle. Fashion is such an enchanting world that I must live and breath.
I’m kind of obsessed with this.
Liu Wen - one of my favorites.
Tao Okamoto is working it!! Also, Chelsea looks beautiful in the morning~~ This was taken on my way to Milk Studios for NYFW<3
